Senior Finance Executive (Dunning & Recovery)

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Debt Collection Agencies (DCAs) and law firms to resolve and negotiate payment issues with customers.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on DCA and law firm performance, activities, and outcomes.
• Validate DCAs’ and law firms’ billings and commission computations to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify, develop, and implement new debt recovery strategies.
• Liaise with liquidators, the Official Assignee, and internal/external legal counsel, and track the progress of cases.
• Prepare, file, and track court documents (e.g., writs of seizure and sale, garnishee orders, bankruptcy applications).
• Gather and organize documentation required for submission to internal and external counsel for legal proceedings.
• Monitor debtor compliance with court orders and negotiate or formalize repayment arrangements.
• Manage internal dunning processes (reminder letters, SMS/email chasers, etc.).
• Handle internal and external queries or complaints via designated mailboxes.
• Support ad-hoc assignments and user acceptance testing (UAT) as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in debt collection, asset recovery, or legal enforcement — preferably in the telecommunications or financial services industry.
• Experience supervising junior staff in case preparation and follow-up activities.
• Familiarity with the Singapore court system and eLitigation portal will be an added advantage.
• Ability to conduct debtor asset searches and recommend suitable enforcement strategies (e.g., garnishee orders, writs of seizure).
• Mature, confident, and a strong team player, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
