How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Purpose

To provide wide spectrum legal support for commercial, industrial, CoE procurement activities and designated business activities, and furnish daily advice on local law and regulation related matters.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead legal professional team to provide comprehensive legal support and advice on commercial, industrial, and CoE procurement activities, including business operations, project contracts, asset deals, and general local law and regulatory matters. This includes significant support for Global Business Services departments (Procurement, Digital & IT, Finance, Logistics).

Lead the bidding process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and independently or with external support, reaching agreements and handling disputes.

Manage ethics compliance, including fraud training, and coordinate investigations of suspicious fraud cases.

Provide full-scale legal support for M&A activities, from advising on transactions to meet strategic objectives, to case management with the business team, and demonstrating strong contract drafting skills.

Manage extensive stakeholder relationships across multiple jurisdictions, liaising with regional legal teams and internal stakeholders to provide enhanced legal advisory.

Offer legal expertise on employment-related issues by partnering with HR, covering contract drafting and review, compliance with employment laws, employee relations advice, and policy development. Regularly monitor legal updates and conduct internal training.

Are you a MATCH?

Hold an LLB or LLM in law and

Admission to Malaysia bar and possess a minimum of 12 years of professional legal experience, with a mandatory background in a well-regarded law firm and/or in-house within a multinational company.

Exhibit sophisticated legal skills and solid experience in M&A (strongly preferred).

Demonstrate excellent command of spoken and written English, and be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese Mandarin(Preferred)

Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, maturity, the ability to work independently, and good business acumen.

Experience in corporate commercial, regulatory law, compliance, and a substantial background in industrial/manufacturing sectors are a plus.
