We're Hiring: Senior Linux Engineer
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Linux Engineer with deep enterprise Linux experience—preferably in retail IT support environments—to join us. This is a Level 3 support role, responsible for managing, supporting, and improving Linux platforms across a large-scale, distributed environment in the Asia Pacific region.
Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Role: Senior Linux Engineer (Enterprise/Retail Focus)
What You’ll Do
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu LTS).
RHCE certification (minimum); deep knowledge of Linux OS internals.
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Perl, Python).
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure (AWS is a plus).
Proficiency in Linux virtualization (QEMU/KVM) and monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios).
Experience with package management (RPM/DPKG) and OS deployment tools (e.g., Kickstart).
Exposure to Microsoft AD, Azure AD, and SSO protocols.
Solid understanding of IT security, TCP/IP networking, and ITIL practices.
Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

- Maintain, support, and improve existing retail Linux systems across Asia Pacific.
- Build, deploy, and manage new Linux-based infrastructure.
- Act as the final escalation point for critical incidents (Level 3).
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code in large-scale environments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure lifecycle consistency and stability.
- Contribute to projects introducing new Linux-based technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to drive improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

- Experience with FreeBSD, embedded Linux, or supporting SAP environments.
- Knowledge of VMware, Thin/Zero Client architecture, or SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments and cross-platform integration.
