Responsibilities: -
- Responsible for entire logistics operation activities, from procurement to delivery.
- Manage international import and export shipment preparation and documentation according to the requirements.
- Ensure compliance with LMW regulations, customs requirements, and other relevant laws.
- Liaise and coordinate with forwarding agents and all government bodies on export/import permit applications.
- Perform customs clearance and declaration for import and export shipment.
- Resolve any problems arising or complaints pertaining to logistics matters internally and externally.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions to ensure favourable terms for the organization.
- Identify opportunity for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in logistics and shipping management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of LMW regulations, customs procedures, and import/export requirements. Exposure to international shipments will be added advantage.
- Good understanding of local HS codes and import regulations of each country and ensure compliance.
- Knowledge of Sales Tax Exemption (SST Exemption).
- Good command of English and Mandarin (due to communication with overseas suppliers/customers)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Based in Banting, Selangor.
