As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will focus on managing projects to ensure successful delivery, providing technical leadership, and mentoring the MEP project team. You will play an integral role in driving business development by contributing to the strategic positioning of the MEP business in the local market. Your expertise in mechanical design, project management, and team leadership will be essential in achieving high-quality project outcomes. This role is based in our Johor Bahru office.

The Opportunity
- Hands-on concept and detailed mechanical design for various projects, including data centers, in a lead discipline engineer role.
- Oversee and coordinate design activities, ensuring that design techniques, review processes, and software tools are up-to-date and correctly applied.
- Conduct technical reviews of MEP projects to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, industry networks, and contractors to promote and grow the MEP business.
- Manage project delivery within budget and schedule, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Is this role right for you?
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of detailed mechanical design experience in an engineering consultancy.
- Proven experience in leading mechanical design teams and managing complex projects, with a focus on cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
- Strong knowledge of local and international legislation, regulations, and codes of practice, with data center design experience being an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to project management, with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to thrive under pressure.
