Role summary
As a Senior People Operations Specialist (Senior HR Business Partner) at FedEx Malaysia, you’ll be a trusted HR partner to business leaders—driving people strategies, leading local/regional projects, enabling effective workforce planning, and enhancing the employee experience. You’ll support local implementation of regional HR initiatives, manage change and workforce transitions, and guide your assigned function on various people management aspects.
You’ll also collaborate with Asia Pacific (APAC) HR Centers of Excellence and North Pacific & South East Asia (NPACSEA) People Operations teams on projects like digitalization, process improvement, and employee experience enhancement.
What you will do:
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key HR advisor to line and senior management, aligning people strategies with business objectives. Drive the implementation of HR policies and practices that reinforce FedEx Malaysia’s Employer of Choice positioning, while adding strategic value and influencing the broader People Strategy.
- People Advisory: Coach, guide, and upskill People Managers in all areas of people management such as recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, and employee development.
- Change Management Planning & Implementation: Lead or support workforce transitions and organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth execution through effective planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Data-Driven Decision Support: Leverage HR data and analytics to inform decision-making, identify workforce trends, and drive continuous improvement. Translate insights into clear, actionable strategies and business presentations for stakeholders to support alignment and impact.
- Regional & Local Program Implementation: Lead, tailor, and execute both local and regional HR initiatives to align with Malaysia’s operational needs. Collaborate cross-functionally with APAC and NPACSEA HR teams on strategic programs including digitalization, employee experience enhancement, process optimization, and rollout of new HR solutions.
- Emergency Response & Compliance: Participate in the Local Response Team for emergency preparedness and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies, especially in industrial relations.

You will be a great fit if you
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law, Statistics, or a related field.
- Bring at least 5 years of HR experience, with demonstrated expertise in at least two areas such as industrial relations, performance & rewards, talent management, recruitment, employer branding, or learning & development (L&D).
- Leverage data and insights to drive and influence decision-making.
- Possess hands-on experience in project and change management, including planning, resource allocation, and time management.
- Build strong, effective relationships and communicate with impact across all levels.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills through active listening, critical thinking, and persuasive communication.
- Proactive and self-driven, with a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong Business Acumen
- Strong language proficiency in both English and Malay.
