As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for...
- Designing part and assemblies to meet mechanical and environmental requirements while embodying the most cost-effective solutions possible.
- Ensuring designs implement proper technologies while meeting manufacturing, cost, and timing goals.
- Working directly with customers, and internal teams to identify requirements, establishing design expectations, and meeting agreed upon design, performance, and goals for projects.
- Maintaining project timelines to ensure all key deliverables are met.
- Coordinating activities to accomplish prototype and pilot production runs to mature the design of components and assemblies and meeting customer needs for finished material.
- Coordinating project activities to ensure smooth release of products into manufacturing meeting customer requirements and established timelines.
- Performing risk assessment tests and use results to improve design and reduce risks before reaching manufacturing.
- Maintaining leading-edge technical proficiency and stay abreast of new trends and scientific developments in fields affecting the mechanical sciences.
- Producting testing/ qualification to ensure meeting product requirements & write technical reports on significant findings.
- Working with departments in obtaining samples and test data and provide with information to prepare datasheet/ customer drawing.
What you already have...
- Bachelor’s degree on Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a product design.
- Antenna or RF experience a plus.
- Capable of manipulating CAD modeling tools, Creo preferred.
- Creo/ANSYS Simulation experience is a plus.
- PDM Windchill experience will be added advantage.
- A solid understanding of mechanical designs including GD&T, structural mechanics and manufacturing process on sheet metal stamping, injection molding, die casting, printed circuit boards and assembly.
- SixSigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background is a PLUS
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Works well in a Team environment.
- Ability to work in a global environment, able to collaborate with individuals across geographies.
- Complete technical documents, including design specification, test report, engineering presentation.
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
