Senior Production Manager

About The Role

As the operations leader, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations at our ResMed Tebrau facility, driving safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Quality, Safety, Facilities, and Engineering, you’ll ensure smooth plant operations, deliver production targets, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Lead and manage day-to-day production and planning to achieve output targets aligned with quality and cost goals.
• Optimize utilization of equipment, systems, and resources to meet changing production demands.
• Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support to ensure smooth, continuous production operations.
• Drive compliance with GMP and other quality system requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Partner with Maintenance and Facilities teams to ensure all equipment and facilities operate at optimal levels.
• Support site leadership to ensure compliance with local government and regulatory requirements (Labour Dept, DOE, JKKP, Customs, City Council, Bomba, HRD, etc.).
• Manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, cost control, and timely service delivery.
• Promote and sustain a positive workplace safety culture, driving incident reduction and continuous improvement in EHS practices.
  
  
  

People Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production leaders and engineers to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure appropriate resource allocation and prioritization to meet business targets and timelines.
• Build capability and accountability within the team through effective coaching, feedback, and performance management.
• Foster open communication, teamwork, and alignment with ResMed’s core values and culture.
  
  
  

Performance & Reporting

• Monitor and analyze operational performance against key business indicators.
• Provide accurate and timely reports on production and financial performance.
• Work with the management team to align actions and priorities that drive sustainable business growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Objective document management software.
• Demonstrated ability to empower teams and align local execution with global priorities.
  
  
  

Preferred:

• Postgraduate qualification in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Training or certification in Project Management, Six Sigma, DFSS, or related methodologies.
