The Position

Position summary



Under general direction, responsible for People Support Solutions projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Major accountability is for APAC regional initiatives as well as any strategic initiatives by demand. Takes projects from original concept through completion. Develops and directs detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, spending, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables to ensure compliance with current business strategies, relevant standards and legal constraints.

Leads the project team of local and remote team members to successfully deliver business value. Provides analytical guidance to the project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Provides coaching/mentoring to others on project management principles and techniques. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables when necessary.

A seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience. Deals with diverse and oftentimes complex issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors. Exercises judgment in evaluating methods and may determine criteria for obtaining solutions. May coordinate the activities of other chapters or AOPs among P&C or across functions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.



Responsibilities
  • Leadership, People and Culture

○ Lead project team by example in line with Roche Leadership commitments, People Practices and policies.

○ Coach and provide training to project teams on tools, techniques, and systems used to control and execute projects.

○ Build a strong competitive project team based on identified People Support Solutions core and functional competencies as well as Roche values.

○ Organize and drive delivery commitment from all project resources and actively manage the resolution of any conflicts within the project team

  • Service Delivery

○ Ensure consistent and reliable service delivery for customers serviced.

○ Implement processes and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement as well as service enhancement.

○ Ensure end to end ownership of resolution

○ Ensure regulatory compliance in line with the countries, customers, and regulations.

○ Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships and communications to partner in a proactive and customer outcome focused way.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

○ Collaborate with peers within the region and globally to ensure the People Support Solutions network provides consistent and effective services to our customers.

○ Achieve our People Support Solutions vision by driving global consistency through collaboration.

  • Project Scope Management

○ Set up a robust project governance structure, define project scope and key objectives in collaboration with Regional Network Lead and project steering committees/sounding board.

○ Communicate project goals, expected business benefits, schedule baselines and service transition strategy approach to all identified stakeholders.

  • Project Stakeholder and Communication Management

○ Identifies all relevant project stakeholders.

○ Drive active and effective communication plan for all levels of stakeholders includes senior stakeholder engagement related to project status update, continuously building business confidence throughout project delivery.

○ Liaises with appropriate business unit management on both strategic and tactical issues.

○ Provides feedback to the organization (such as project risks, deviations potential corrective actions), determines resource allocation

  • Project Delivery

○ Deliver the end to end project on time within the approved budget, meeting agreed quality and expected business benefits as defined in project baseline.

○ Assure controlled and documented change management is in place throughout project delivery

○ Directs local implementation of global and/or regional strategies, cross-functional continuous improvement teams and/or selected development/business area projects as directed by manager.

  • Project Planning, Tracking and Control

○ Create baseline project schedules and track the completion of project deliverables, tasks, activities and milestones. Ensures training, materials and communications are developed and implemented in accordance with project timelines.

○ Work with the regional network team to ensure timely and accurate reporting on project scope, schedule, cost and resources, as well as project risks, issues, action items, and dependencies and develop corrective actions. Oversee realization of project value or benefits from solutions delivered.

○ Actively and effectively manage project spending, consumption, resources, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) by carefully assessing potential impacts in collaboration with project teams and dependencies. Propose appropriate mitigation actions and risk acceptance (where applicable).

Employees are responsible for performing their duties in line with the SHE (Safety, Security, Health and Environmental Protection) Guidelines and the applicable law. It is required to complete the mandatory training courses and follow procedures and instructions accordingly.

○ Experience in a shared service center, with a proven track record leading regional or global service project teams, preferably in an HR services environment.

○ Demonstrated Experience Managing And Supporting Change Initiatives.
○ Ability to credibly represent our P&C and People Support Solutions vision and strategy and “the why” behind it.

○ Ability to influence and work with key stakeholders to partner in achieving our strategy. Ability to exert influence to create positive cultural change.

○ Proven track record of being able to deliver and work effectively in a matrix organization across geographies and divisions

○ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple, competing priorities.

○ Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and multicultural environment working across borders.

  • You bring the following qualifications and capabilities critical to the role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in focus business area such as Human Resources, Project Management or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of project management experience in a global environment; experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Strong cross-cultural communications, influence, leadership, conflict management and negotiation, and project management skills and tools know how
  • Provide coaching and guidance to more junior team members
  • Responsible for managing projects with a high degree of complexity and scope as well as large budget and business impact.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder groups including senior leaders.
  • Expected to be comfortable working with a higher level of ambiguity and autonomy in work assignments
  • Experienced and efficient handling of standard IT-applications, preferably Google suite
  • Fluent in English required
  • PMI certification preferred
