Senior Staff Engineer Passive Expert

In your new role you will:

• Be the technical expert for passive components (eg inductors, capacitors, resistors) material in package development projects.
• Perform design, drawing and specification for inductors based on design guidelines and assembly rules and ensure design for manufacturing, quality and cost.
• Collaborate with internal and component suppliers on design, requirements, specifications and selection; and ensure design for manufacturing, quality and cost.
• Drive passive components development activities and ensure fulfillment of project milestone deliverables, cost and documentation release (spec, drawing, GIMM, etc).
• Liaise with SQM and supplier to ensure fulfillment of quality requirements including FAI submission requirements and qualification release.
• Establish design guidelines/requirements for passive components material specification.
• Owner of risk interaction assessments and mitigation with a focus on process interactions and material - process interactions.
• Provide Technical guidance/assistance when needed in the projects related to interaction topics.
• Actively engages with suppliers to explore new technology, best in cost design, etc to achieve competitive advantages.
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, ElectronicsPhysics).
• At least 7 years of working experience in passive component design, development, or manufacturing.
• Experienced in Passive components development & qualification, including material and design.
• Knowledge in material physics/properties for passive components(capacitors, resistors, inductors).
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing process.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
