Senior Test Engineer

Your Job

To perform product test planning and reliability testing of electrical connector and to assess risk of products to ensure parts shipped to customers meet or exceed customer's expectation.

To assist Product Design engineers and Quality Engineers in doing test evaluations to facilitate the development of new products and finding new ways to perform product testing to assess the product performance in manufacturing processes, field performance and field failure analysis.

Externally: Customers, Suppliers, External Lab

What You Will Do

• Conducting reliability tests based on test requests
• Reviewing test requests with the requester to ensure the intent of the tests is achieved
• Drafting test plans and schedules to ensure test requirements and lead times are met
• Coordinating with third-party test labs for testing samples that are required to be sent out for testing
• Executing and enforcing reliability lab procedures and rules
• Sourcing and coordinating external lab tests in cases where there is no internal capability or capacity
• Maintaining reliability lab conditions to ensure the lab meets operational safety standards
• Updating test procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and comply with lab requirements
• Working with Quality Engineers and Product Design Engineers for new product performance analysis
• Designing and fabricating test jigs and fixtures
• Carrying out assignments or projects as assigned by the supervisor from time to tim
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experienced Test engineer or Quality engineer in Electronics/Electrical or high precision industry with strong working experience
• Candidate is expected to be familiar with industrial standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025 and safety NGO such as UL, JIS and SIRIM
• Experienced in Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) regulatory compliance knowledge
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Fundamental Quality Knowledge (ISO/IATF169494/VDA6.3, APQP tools). Familiar with lab accreditation system ISO17025 and industrial standards
• Quality System (ISO 9001 or TS 16949) knowledge
• Good in connector industrial standard knowledge
• Knowledge of statistics - experience using Minitab or other statistical software
• Competent in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Experience with SAP or similar database system
• Good English communication skill. Strong organizational skill to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload
• Good interpersonal skills for effective leadership and team facilitation
• Solid Knowledge & understanding of metrology and GD&T
• Working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating and assembly processes
