Senior/Account Executive

Key Responsibilities

Provide accounting support for the organization. Roles and responsibilities include:

• Record all daily donations (corporate, individual, crowdfunding, etc.) and other receipts into the accounting system accurately and timely.
• Reconcile donation reports from the with bank transactions and donor platforms.
• Work with the Donor Engagement Department to resolve discrepancies and improve reconciliation processes.
• Assist in preparation of monthly accounts and reports.
• Liaise with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) to ensure compliance with requirements for tax-deductible donations.
• Prepare and submit reports or supporting documents required for tax audit or verification purposes.
• Ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts covering both the main organisation and the subsidiary.
• Monitor actual cash inflow against forecast and highlight significant variances.
• Assist in planning for fund utilisation to support research and operational needs.
• Support grant and donor reporting as required by the Finance and Donor Engagement Department.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for better financial controls and efficiency.
• Assist in any other ad-hoc finance tasks or reporting as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or full set of accounts will have an added advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Malaysian Income Tax Act or donation tax compliance is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software AutoCount is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, good numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
