Software Developer (Java, Oracle, SQL)

This company is seeking goal-oriented Backend Developers with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be capable of explaining complex software issues in easy-to-understand terms and providing solutions that adhere to best practices. This role offers the opportunity to design solutions that deliver efficiency not only to our customers but to the end-consumers as well.

What you'll do: As a Backend Developer, your role will be diverse and challenging. You will be responsible for providing software solution development and support services for warehouse automation solutions. This includes providing ramp-up support according to the customer’s operational hours as part of the overall project delivery.

• Provide software solution development and support services for warehouse automation solutions
• Provide ramp-up support according to the customer’s operational hours as part of the overall project delivery
• Provide availability and timely technical support to sites in the production environment
• Train and mentor Support Engineers to enable them to provide up to Level 2 support
• Travel within APAC-MEA region to perform project-related work when required
• Participate in commissioning and testing at customer sites as required
• Rotational once a month on call arrangemnt (remote).
  
  

What you bring: The ideal Backend Developer candidate brings a wealth of skills and experiences. You should have knowledge and experience in Alfresco & SharePoint, Confluence, and logistics. A solid understanding of Host communication protocol, JSON/REST is essential along with experience in setting up Virtual Machines and Physical servers. Your database administration skills will be put to good use along with your PLC communication skills.

• Engineering or Computer Science degree. Fluent in written and oral English
• Min 3 - 5 years hands-on development experience using Java7, Java8, Java11, HTML, and CSS
• Strong SQL skills
• Basic to expert knowledge of Oracle Database, Unix, and network concepts.
• Experience with Waterfall / Agile methodologie
• Knowledge and experience in Alfresco & SharePoint, Confluence, host communication protocol, JSON/REST is good to have.
• Experience with Virtual Machine and Physical server set up. Database Administration skills.
