The Fulfilment tech family is one of the most important pillars ensuring Grab to out-serve our customers and partners in different businesses and marketplaces across Southeast Asia. We are working on high throughput, real-time distributed systems that use machine learning techniques to solve hundreds of millions of requests per day.The team promotes a collaborative culture, encouraging idea sharing and teamwork to solve complex challenges.

Allocation is one of Fulfilment Tech Family's empowered teams with goals to match drivers with orders in the most efficient way that benefits the network and provides high reliability for users' booking experience.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for accomplished and passionate Engineers to join our team. You will have opportunities to work on android driver apps that are used by millions of driver partners everyday. It is very important that our team members identify problems and have the right mindset and skills to solve them.This is a hybrid role and will report into

Senior Software Engineering Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop mobile components using Java, Kotlin, and Flutter to enhance Grab's Driver App services.
• Investigate and improve Driver app stability and application performance.
• Collaborate with the backend team to create modular, reusable components and scalable APIs.
• Partner with product and experience teams to finalise feature specifications and design experiments.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations to ensure high development standards and improve system stability.
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Android app development, with a portfolio of live apps demonstrating the ability to manage the full app development lifecycle
• You will need an understanding of Kotlin and Java and hands-on experience with Android SDKs.
• You will have experience with Android frameworks and libraries, demonstrating practical application
• You will have sound proficiency in algorithms and data structures
• You will analyze problems, brainstorm efficient solutions, and debug code is important for this role
