Staff Specialist Information Technology - Ideation & Innovation

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Provide project and operation support, system administration, and software development of applications for Ideation & Innovation Solutions.
• Provide technical consultation (e.g application design/development, effort estimation) based on business user requirements and best fit for system operations.
• Responsible for investigating application errors, and troubleshooting issues occurring on both client and server side and providing a solution.
• Responsible for script development, testing, troubleshooting, pilot, and maintenance after rollout.
• Responsible for project development including application integration via API, functionalities testing, performance benchmark, installation, and deployment within the scope of IT IM.
• Work closely with the application owner and project team to ensure the solution is delivered within scope, budget, and timeline including participating in the application deployment and release process.
• Perform quality assurance activities (e.g. testing, code review).
• Perform requirement analysis and feasibility study of user requirements for new change requests.
• Responsible for consulting and proposing solutions based on the information gathered.
  
  

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or any equivalent course.
• Preferably with 3-5 years of experience in software development.
• Experienced in Object-oriented programming like Java, and REST API development.
• Experienced in Web-based programming including Spring MVC Framework, Servlet, Javascript, JSON, and HTML.
• Experienced in REST API development knowledge, XML-based content management (e.g. XML, XSLT, DTD, Xpath), and various application server, eg: Apache Tomcat, Jboss, IIS.
• Experienced in various Windows servers for Tomcat and IIS services.
• Knowledge of Openshift Kubernetes (hybrid cloud platform) and server administration are added advantages.
• Experienced in CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment.
• Experienced in source control e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, SVN.
• Experienced in databases such as Oracle SQL, and Microsoft SQL and familiar with PLSQL.
• Experience in software testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experienced knowledge in project management and requirements gathering, integration tests, and system tests.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, and teamwork.
