TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for supplier identification, sourcing strategy development, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management. This role involves driving procurement efficiencies, ensuring supplier compliance, and supporting business needs across multiple regions, including SEA, India, Mexico, and North America. The analyst will play a key role in material productivity, supplier performance, and contract negotiations while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic sourcing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze input requests and identify suitable suppliers from the approved supplier panel.
  • Prepare RFQs, conduct quote analysis, negotiate terms, and manage supplier selection and approvals.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including "make or buy" analysis and supplier footprint optimization.
  • Ensure accurate PO and info record management, transferring relevant data to SCM.
  • Drive key procurement KPIs, including material productivity, lead time performance, and supplier quality.
  • Manage material productivity, price negotiations, VA/VE projects, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Optimize supplier pricing, inventory management, and MOQ requirements for production needs.
  • Consolidate supplier footprint, introduce new suppliers, and establish supplier agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with TE regulations (RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals) and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular supplier risk assessments and drive corrective actions through QBRs.
  • Support ISO compliance, process documentation, and team collaboration on procurement tasks.

What your background should look like:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 10+ years in sourcing, with expertise in electronics, stamping, machining, molding, or connector assembly industries.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
    • Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of regional/global supplier base and market trends.
    • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multicultural teams.
    • Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities.
    • Fluent English communication skills at a negotiation level.
