About the role:The Team Leader, Banks & AR is responsible for leading a team of Accountants (junior, regular, senior) and delivering high quality of processes in the Order to Cash (OTC) area such as Bank Statement processing, Sundry Sales, Rebates & Agent Commission for APAC. They are to be executed timely and accurately, in line with the Service Level Agreement and the Team Leader is in charge of ensuring this
The role also includes transition of OTC processes from Corporate/Regional/Local functions and improvements to the existing processes, closely cooperating with other Finance Teams within GBS and contributing to their global transformation agendas
In parallel, the person on this position manages the Team end-to-end including daily workload distribution, defining goals for team members, team development & motivation as well as definition of own and team members’ career paths
Key responsibilities includes:
- Ownership responsibility for the OTC in APAC units as per defined scope of activities
- Responsible for timely and accurately executing the tasks and reporting the results in line with SLA
- Lead the external and internal audit activities for the process in scope
- Set priorities and rebalance workload of the Team when needed, to ensure service to business is delivered in full and on time
- Manage the team (Senior/Regular/Junior) Accountants
- Evaluate the team’s performance as well as coach and support progression of individual career paths
- Take care of a stable situation in the team which is reflected in its level of motivation as well as a low level of rotation among employees
- Facilitate the coverage of open vacancies on time and with matching employee profiles
- Drive the OTC standardization, efficiency and automation by looking critically at transferred processes, and continuously improving existing ones
- Manage the internal & external business partners and provide coaching and guidance to other BC departments Order to Cash (OTC)/ Treasury related subjects
About You:
Education, Language, Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in economics, finance or business administration or similar educational background
- Proficiency in English and business proficiency in 2nd language would be an asset
- At least 6 years’ experience in Finance.
- Experience in international SSC/GBS/BPO environments preferred.
- Leadership experience managing >4 employees for at least 3 years
Essential Technical or Functional Experiences & Knowledge
- Perfect understanding of interlinks between sub processes like eg. How bank statement processing influences the credit control part.
- Very good analytical, conceptual and connective cogitation and a hands-on and detail-conscious work style
- High IT affinity, advanced or professional skills in SAP
- Good understanding on automation opportunities
- Ability to coordinate the process and work under deadline pressure
- Strong leadership skills, ability to keep the team constantly motivated
- Strong communication skills paired with a good level of customer focus & stakeholder management
