Technician (Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd)

Job Description:

Responsible for carrying out engine and genset including of mechanical and electrical installation, and commissioning. Revisit on rental genset maintenance and repair. Monthly health check for customer engine and genset. Area coverage in Sabah and Sarawak with the intent to increase E&T business revenue, and profitability.

• Inspection and PDI on new arrival engine and genset at workshop
• Mechanical installation, electrical wiring connection, commissioning, maintenance, and repair for mechanical, electrical systems
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematic diagram
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and electrical code
• Perform preventive maintenance task to our rental genset.

Education / Professional Qualification

• 2-3 years of experience as mechanical and electrical technician.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in mechanical and electrical technology.
• Knowledge of industry specific regulations on engine mechanical / electrical.
• Works regularly under pressure to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Resourceful, analytical and proactive to varied customer’s requirements and changing market conditions.
• Need to work independently within the framework of company’s policies and guidelines.
