Your Job

As a Tooling Team Leader, your primary purpose is to lead and coordinate the tooling team to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality tooling solutions. You will be responsible for managing the team’s workflow, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet production goals and maintain tooling standards.

Our Team

You will be part of the Tooling Team within the manufacturing division, working closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams. This team is critical to maintaining the operational excellence of tooling equipment, supporting product development, and driving innovation to meet evolving business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage the tooling team to achieve operational targets and maintain high-quality tooling standards.
  • Coordinate daily team activities, allocating resources effectively and ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on tooling processes, reducing downtime, and enhancing productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, and quality to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain tooling documentation, including maintenance schedules, procedures, and reports.
  • Monitor tooling performance metrics and conduct regular team reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Manage tooling budgets, including cost control and procurement of tooling materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies within the tooling area.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring tooling readiness and capability for manufacturing.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven experience in tooling management or leadership within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling design, maintenance, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for tooling management and documentation.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced qualifications or certifications related to tooling, manufacturing, or leadership.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software or other tooling design tools.
  • Previous involvement in new product development or tooling innovation projects.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and procurement processes in tooling or manufacturing contexts.
