Work you’ll do
Contract Management is part of our Quality & Risk Management (QRM) function and supports projects in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. As a Contract Management Manager you will be spearheading the process for a few engagements or projects (including subcontractors). You will be expected to work closely with Deloitte business/client units, senior management/stakeholders and project teams and maintain a high level of visibility on the engagements as you perform contract management responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting and reviewing of contractual documents (ie. Statements of Work, Change Requests, Subcontractor Agreements, Purchase Orders, Proposals, Tender documents).
- Support with identification, escalation and resolution of commercial and contract risks and issues working with project management to ensure best outcome for all parties.
- Lead and implementing relevant contract management processes but not limited to;
- Support LEP and/or account team with overall commercial strategy and understanding and managing key obligations applicable to every engagement.
- End to end support from bidding/tender stage until completion of the project as main PIC and advisor to the business partners and stakeholders relating to contract creation, risks management, performance monitoring, contract and compliance management and 3rd party management.
- Review and comb through SOW to identify, track and monitor the deliverables, milestones, obligations, responsibilities and associated risks for each phase of the contract and where required to work with PM to develop a risk mitigation strategy for each identified delivery risks.
- Implement monthly touchpoints to discuss on delivery status, responsibilities and ensure risks are continually assessed and that mitigation strategies – from contracting phase to new risks delivered during delivery.
- Potentially attending and reviewing of SteerCo/Weekly status minutes, deliverables, outputs or outcomes (if any) to ensure performance is on time, reperformance of work (if any) has clear exit criteria and consistent quality e.g. SLAs, response time, all accordance with the contract.
- Assisting with documentation trail relating to decisions, approvals and changes are effectively documented including drafting of delay notification (if required).
- Review and track any significant variance and assess any potential risks early.
- Support delivery team to work with client procurement and legal on their requirements and ensure payment is provided on time, documents are appropriately submitted, and invoices are issued by Deloitte on time.
- Establish and negotiate with the client for a Change Request process/Timesheet approval process/Governance process/Deliverable acceptance process.
- Assist with identifying whether the deliverables/outputs have been completed on time and accordance with the defined acceptance or exit criteria.
- Review payment billings (including AR & WIP) to determine if the services being delivered matches with the contract and whether any adjustments have been made +/- to the fees e.g. refunds, suspension of services, descoping, swap scope and etc.
- Monitoring project performance against the contract through the review of key performance or SLA (if applicable).
- Develop training programs to educate PMO/Delivery team members on effective contract management practices, contract compliance and risk assessment.
- Supervise junior team members providing the CM function on engagements, projects or portfolios.
- Develop and maintain a library of standardized templates for team references.

Requirements:-
- Bachelor Degree required (business, management, finance, commercial, law or any relevant discipline).
- Member of International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and/ or professional certification considered a plus.
- Basic understanding of general commercial contracting principles and contracts.
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience as a CM, PMO or experience in delivery.
- Basic understanding of contract life cycle and understanding of commercial agreements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Tools (word, excel, power point, sharepoint, teams and etc.).Excellent writing, editing, and copy-editing skills; previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, legal, or technical communications fields preferred.
- Keen eye for detail, ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively (written and verbal)
- Exercises good judgment, and decision-making when necessary, with the ability to also anticipate problems and respond accordingly.
- Ability to manage own schedule, evaluates priorities, effectively plans and organizes, and is attentive to deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, responsive to inquiries/requests, a, coordinates appropriate follow-up,
- Versatile and curious, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and shift focus easily.
- Strong relationship building and maintaining skills. Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external).
