About the role

BONA SPEC SDN. BHD. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Miri, Sarawak on a contract basis. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in the production and maintenance of high-quality metal fabrications, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform a variety of welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate and assemble metal components
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient welding
  • Prepare and position materials for welding, cutting, and grinding
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the welding process
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained

    • What we're looking for

  • Formal qualification or certification in welding, such as a Diploma or Certificate in Welding
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience as a Welder, preferably in the Trades & Services industry
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with health and safety regulations
