Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the WWTP operates efficiently and is well-maintained at all times.
- Monitor and ensure that treated discharge water meets regulatory specifications (Standard A).
- Conduct daily routine inspections and monitoring of WWTP operations, recording all readings in the log sheet.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and carry out corrective maintenance in case of breakdowns or abnormal operations, reporting issues to the superior immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, chemicals, and consumables, and request replenishment as needed.
- Ensure all tools and consumables are properly used, stored, and kept in good condition.
- Monitor chemical and consumable stock levels, tracking consumption and adjusting dosing rates to optimize plant operations.
- Record and monitor chemical consumption, as well as incoming and discharged water data.
- Coordinate and arrange incoming feed from area owners/production teams.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the WWTP area.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
- Diploma or higher qualification in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Chemical/Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Training or certification related to Wastewater Treatment Plant operations is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent tasks effectively.
