As Account Specialist / Account Manager at Molex Malaysia, you will be the key player in managing and nurturing assigned accounts to achieve profitable growth and make Molex the preferred supplier. Your role will encompass responding to customer inquiries with Molex solutions, coordinating internal and external resources, and actively working to expand Molex's market presence.

As Account Specialist / Account Manager at Molex Malaysia, you will be the key player in managing and nurturing assigned accounts to achieve profitable growth and make Molex the preferred supplier. Your role will encompass responding to customer inquiries with Molex solutions, coordinating internal and external resources, and actively working to expand Molex's market presence.
Our Team
You will be an integral part of a team that liaises closely with various internal stakeholders, such as Sales Engineers/Managers, Product Management, Demand Planning, and others, to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Externally, you will interact with purchasing, procurement, quality and technical teams to ensure Molex's offerings align with customer needs and expectations.
What You Will Do
- Respond to customer inquiries with Molex product information, pricing, RFQs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure Molex products are approved and included in customers’ Bills of Material (BOMs) by tracking opportunities and order conversions.
- Coordinate NPI and MP project requirements with internal teams and external partners.
- Drive design-in activities with customer R&D teams to maximize Molex’s footprint in new and existing programs and build a strong pipeline of assigned key accounts.
- Manage customer contracts and agreements as required.
- Conduct customer visits to strengthen relationships and clarify requirements.
- Collaborate with internal business units to support sales efforts and program execution.
- Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Prepare monthly sales reports and call plans that highlight opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- You possess a degree in any field, engineering or marketing will be preferred.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a background in the Electronics / EMS industry.
- Your experience includes customer-facing roles with a focus on service and commercial aspects.
- You have a proven track record of managing customer accounts and fostering growth.
- Prior Sales experience within the electronics industry.
- A history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong familiarity with interconnect products / companies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Advanced expertise in sales strategies and lead qualifications.
