As an AI Engineer Intern in the GCDB Application team, you will work hands-on with cutting-edge AI technologies that power DHL’s global logistics operations. You will assist in designing, developing, and testing AI-driven solutions and automation tools that enhance our application capabilities. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and architects to build intelligent features, support data pipeline development, and contribute to proof-of-concept AI projects.
This is your chance to turn academic knowledge into real-world impact — helping shape the future of logistics through AI technology. You will also participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to accelerate your growth as an AI professional.
Last but not least, security technologies associated with Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs, Proxies, Azure and Google Cloud are all in your support league.

As an AI Engineer Intern, having experience with Python, n8n and LLM AI framework (e.g., Google ADK, Langchain, and langgraph) is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of data processing, model training, and API/MCP integration will also be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology, therefore you have a good understanding and curiosity for GenAI, LLMs, and prompt engineering. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
