We are looking for a driven Business Line Manager, Automation to lead our Automation growth in the Southeast Asia Sales Area.
In this role, you’ll guide the strategic direction of our Automation portfolio ensuring our solutions create real value for customers across the region. You’ll work closely with mining houses, contractors, and channel partners, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and translating them into practical commercial and operational plans.
You’ll serve as the regional owner of the Automation business, bridging global strategy with the realities of SEA markets and strengthening our position as the partner of choice for digital and autonomous mining solutions.
Your Role and Impact
You will define and execute the growth strategy for Automation across Southeast Asia, focusing on both mining and tunnelling opportunities. This means identifying emerging demand, shaping market pathways, and ensuring we capitalize on new business potential.
Your work will involve supporting customer deployments, strengthening value propositions, and developing dealer capability. You will lead a regional Automation team and collaborate closely with different stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

- Full responsibility for the region’s Automation business including operational and aftermarket performance
- Leads the regional portfolio for AutoMine, UFR, and Newtrax
- Driving customer engagement and long-term relationships
- Managing the forecasting process and ensuring forecast accuracy with production units
- Supporting dealer capability growth across varied SEA markets
- Delivering commercial excellence, business planning, and high‑quality execution
- Ensuring strong collaboration and upholding Sandvik’s Zero Harm principles

To complement this, you bring:
- A degree in Engineering, Mining, Automation, Business, or a related field
- Significant experience (8–10+ years) in mining, tunnelling, Automation, digital systems, or similar industrial sectors
- Proven success in sales leadership, business development, or regional commercial roles
- Experience working with dealers, distributors, or multi‑country channel partners
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across operations, service, supply chain, and commercial functions
- Strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English, with SEA languages as a plus
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural region
- Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as needed
