The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
What you’ll do
- Assist to oversee the development, planning and implementation of EHS policies and procedures from construction, commissioning to sustaining operations to meet with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and RBA requirement
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS requirements and engage with DOE, DOSH, Fire Service Department and all other applicable agencies; and compliance with Lam Global EHS requirements
- Coordinate Plant EHS training and ensuring effectiveness of EHS training programs for employees in areas such as, ergonomics, hazardous material handling, fall protection, control of hazardous energies, emergency response, and other identified compliance training needs
- Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors as per the EHS training needs
- Proactively conduct EHS risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies, and environmental and safety requirements for the business unit
- Take appropriate action to halt any conditions that may result in imminent hazard to persons, property, or the environment
- Provides governance by conducting routine EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations and final closure
- To actively take part and lead in the establishment and maintenance of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 system, RBA audits and Global EHS audit
- To facilitate emergency preparedness and response, organize ERT training and emergency drills periodically
- Coordinates EHS Committee meeting and furnished report in a timely manner and follow up on the closure for the EHS concern raised
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety or comparable scientific discipline require
- 8-12 years of EHS working experience in manufacturing sector
- Experience in new start-up and establishment of ISO14001, ISO45001 and Responsible Business Alliances (RBA) management system
- Construction and Contractors Safety experience with an injury-free mindset (optional)
- Well verse with Hazardous Energy Control and Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Control
Preferred qualifications
- SHO certification registration with DOSH
- Competent Person in Scheduled Waste with valid registration with DOE
- ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 lead auditor status preferred
- Auditor for Responsible Business Alliances (RBA)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
