The position is responsible for managing and coordinating ocean freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, cost control, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Shipment Management: Coordinate end-to-end ocean freight shipments, book cargo space, monitor shipment progress, and provide status updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and process shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading, customs declarations, packing lists) while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Customer Service: Act as the primary contact for customers, handling shipment enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Transportation Planning: Develop shipment plans, optimise routing and schedules, and ensure timely movement of cargo while balancing service and cost.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Customs, Warehousing, and external vendors/carriers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Vendor & Performance Management: Monitor carrier and vendor performance through KPIs and Station Metrics Cockpit, driving service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Cost Control: Negotiate freight rates, manage transportation costs, and support profitability objectives.
  • Data & System Management: Maintain accurate shipment records and effectively utilise logistics systems and reporting tools.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve shipment delays, operational issues, and service disruptions.
  • Ownership Culture (1F1O): Maintain end-to-end ownership of assigned files, ensuring accountability throughout the shipment lifecycle, even when certain tasks are delegated or automated.


We are expecting the incumbent to meet these requirements:


  • Diploma and/or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, and/or Business Studies with minor in logistics and supply chain
  • With minimum 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry especially in Ocean / Sea freight Operation.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation.
  • It will be added advantage if you have previous experience dealing with customers.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Additional skillsets required: detailed oriented, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Able to work in a fast pace and challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • This position is located in Subang Jaya, USJ 25 .
