Role Overview

The Executive, Data Management is responsible for maintaining and managing master data, Bill of Materials (BOM), and related information within the organization's ERP and MRP systems.

The role serves as a key link between Material Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Engineering functions by ensuring that reliable and accurate data is available to support planning, inventory management, procurement activities, and operational decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across planning, inventory, and material management systems.
  • Manage the creation, validation, updating, and governance of material master records.
  • Ensure compliance with established data standards, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Monitor data quality and proactively identify and rectify data discrepancies.

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management

  • Maintain and update BOM structures within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and operational teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness.
  • Support equipment and asset management through accurate BOM documentation.
  • Monitor BOM availability and support continuous improvement initiatives relating to data quality.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Generate and prepare inventory, planning, and management reports.
  • Develop and publish weekly and monthly KPI reports for management review.
  • Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

ERP / MRP System Support

  • Support the effective utilization of ERP and MRP systems within the Material Planning function.
  • Ensure data accuracy to prevent planning, procurement, and inventory disruptions.
  • Assist users in resolving data-related issues and system discrepancies.
  • Participate in system enhancement and process improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify opportunities to improve data management processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Support digitalisation and automation initiatives within Supply Chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements and document control standards.
  • Promote best practices in master data governance and supply chain information management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Procurement & Tender, Engineering & Facilities, and suppliers to maintain data integrity.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for data-related matters within the supply chain function.
  • Provide support and guidance to users on master data and reporting requirements.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Data Management
  • Or any related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in:
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
  • Master Data Management
  • ERP/MRP Systems
  • Supply Chain Planning
  • Inventory Management

Technical Skills

Candidates with exposure to the following areas will have an added advantage:
