Executive, Operations

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive, Operations to support daily Air Freight operations and ensure smooth cargo handling activities. This role is responsible for coordinating with airlines, terminal operators, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, compliance with safety standards, achievement of service KPIs, and accurate shipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Customer Service

• Maintain close coordination with airline terminal staff, carriers, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Handle daily communication with internal and external customers to ensure timely resolution of operational matters.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient handling of inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments in accordance with customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports and documentation.
• Perform any other operational duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Supervisor.
  
  
  

Shipment & Warehouse Management

• Oversee the receiving, transfer, recovery, and release of inbound shipments from ground handling agents and warehouses.
• Ensure accurate cargo inspection, quantity verification, and documentation prior to cargo acceptance.
• Monitor warehouse handling activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Manage warehouse inventory accuracy and control.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  
  
  

Performance & Compliance

• Monitor operational performance and ensure departmental KPIs are achieved.
• Ensure strict compliance with operational SOPs, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company policies.
• Identify operational discrepancies, incidents, or non-conformances and initiate immediate corrective actions.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to management on corrective and preventive measures.
  
  
  

Team Support & Development

• Provide guidance, training, and operational support to team members to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Assist in monitoring staff, suppliers, and vendor performance.
• Support performance measurement in line with departmental KPIs.
• Promote productivity improvements and effective manpower utilization, including overtime control.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of Air Freight experience within the logistics, freight forwarding, transportation or supply chain industry.
• Knowledge of air freight operations, cargo handling processes, and warehouse operations is an added advantage.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and operational environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
• This position is located at Sepang, Selangor.
