Forklift Driver Grade 1

RESPONSIBILITIES/ KEY ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely for loading, unloading, and transporting materials

• Receive incoming materials and perform put-away according to designated storage locations

• Deliver materials to production based on staging requirements and timelines

• Handle finished goods from production and store them accurately in the warehouse

• Prepare materials and support daily operational requirements in warehouse and production

• Dispatch finished goods to Distribution Centre in accordance with FIFO principles

• Perform stock count activities and ensure inventory accuracy

• Ensure proper handshake process during material transfer to maintain accuracy and accountability

• Maintain forklift condition through daily inspection and reporting of issues

• Follow all safety, hygiene, and operational procedures (NGMP standards)

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of working environment

Additional Responsibilities

• Support cleaning, 5S, and continuous improvement activities

• Assist other departments when required

• Participate in meetings, training, and company initiatives

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Education

• Minimum SPM or equivalent

  Valid forklift / Reach Truck driving license / certification

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or forklift driving

• Experience in Material handling, loading & unloading, and inventory processes

• Familiar with warehouse systems and basic documentation (e.g. DO, stock count)

Competency

• Safe forklift operation and hazard awareness

• Basic computer literacy

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Strong sense of responsibility and discipline

• Ability to follow SOPs and safety standards (NGMP / hygiene)

• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
