We are hiring a Mechatronic Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. This is an opportunity to work in a customer focused enevironment where your technical skills and agility in the field will develop rapidly. the role involves independent working with applications encouraged from agile applicants who can work alone and adapt in changing customer focused environments.

Job description & mission

Key task of this role will be hands on job to carry out the installation and commissioning of customized solutions throughout the region.

You will also be involved in the preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, providing technical support, and training for Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division Aftermarket products including turbo compressors, expansion turbines and hydrocarbon expanders within the Asia-Oceania region.

You will be in continuously contact with the regional organization head office located in Thailand/Bangkok.

As part of the local highly skilled and experienced team you will ensure quality and highly reliable services.

Experience requirements

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, engines.
Reading and understanding of drawings related to the machines such as P&ID’s, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and diagrams.
Carry out motor alignments, using indicator method and laser equipment.
Dry Gas Seal (DGS) experience would be of advantage.

LNG experience, dedicated knowledge within the LNG service sector is a strong asset.

Educational requirements

University degree in the required field or similar qualifications gained through experience.

A mechatronics background would be preferred with considerable exposure to rotating equipment and control systems like PLC, HMI, DCS etc.

Personality requirements

This position requires a self-starter who can work independently as well as a member of the Asia-Oceania team for Atlas Copco.

Fluency in English is a must, local language knowledge are additional assets.

Customer oriented and motivated commissioning engineer with strong communication.

Work independently in a challenging and demanding environment.

Proper job preparations, planning and execution, as well leadership and good self/time management are required.
Team player, being part of the regional and international Atlas Copco team and teamwork are fundamental.
Good computer skills such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, etc.

Analytical and detail oriented.

Additional information

This position will require a high amount of travelling within the dedicated region Asia-Oceania.
