Operational Manager Logistics & Customs ASEAN (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

• End-to-end responsibility for coordinate and harmonize logistics and customs processes (import/export) for service returns, repairs, spare parts, and equipment across ASEAN markets
• Ownership of all customs-related topics, including repair & return, temporary import, re-export, free trade agreements, tariff codes, and documentation
• Buildup organization, and management of warehouse and logistics structures at the local site; Including potential team lead and external partner management
• Design and continuous optimization of after-sales and service logistics processes
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Service, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, IT) and external partners (consultants, customs authorities, thid-party logistics providers, freight forwarders)
• Ensure full compliance with local and international customs and trade regulations
• Provide management reporting, SLAs, KPIs and operational decision support
• Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements in logistics and customs operations
• Ensure audit readiness, mitigate customs, and trade compliance risks
• Support implementation and optimization of logistics and customs IT systems (e.g. ERP, customs tools)
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a comparable field
• Several years of relevant experience in international logistics and/or customs operations, ideally in a service or after-sales environment in ASEAN or emerging markets is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade, including operational handling of repair & return scenarios
• Proven experience in building structures and processes by project management and hands-on implementation skills
• Strong operational mindset combined with strategic thinking
• Very good English skills, German is a plus
• High intercultural competence and willingness to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur
