Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented candidate to join as the Partner Development Manager, Malaysia.As the Partner Development Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to shape and deliver on an AI-first strategy to build a robust AI partner landscape in Malaysia. You will curate and develop a cohort of high-potential AI and Future Consolidation Partners, driving deep industry expertise to support AWS public sector and address evolving customer requirements.
Key job responsibilities
Your broad responsibilities will include defining and executing against the AI Partner Recruit, Onboard, and Develop playbooks, establishing business and technical relationships, and managing day-to-day interactions with a focused portfolio of partners to build long-term AI-driven business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive engagement and interact at the CXO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to interact with software developers and architects on AI/ML solutions. He/she should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about AI business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The candidate should have experience working with SI partners, AI-native companies, and technology providers, and be comfortable managing complex partnerships across various cross-functional teams. The candidate should be a self-starter, self-motivated, a driver who gets things done and has a bias for action and delivering results.
A day in the life
- Scout and assess emerging AI-native companies to shape tomorrow's partner pipeline. Recruit, onboard, and enable new partners from first conversation to first co-sell opportunity
- Sync internally to activate the right AWS resources at the right time
- Define and execute a joint go-to-market strategy focused on accelerating adoption of frontier AI capabilities (foundation models, agentic AI, multimodal reasoning) across public sector customers, with emphasis on mission-critical use cases in Federal, State & Local Government, Education, Healthcare, and Nonprofit verticals
- Drive co-sell pipeline development and revenue growth — identify, qualify, and advance joint opportunities with public sector end-customers, articulating the differentiated value of the partner's AI models deployed on AWS infrastructure (including GovCloud and classified environments)
- Navigate public sector compliance and security requirements as they pertain to the partner's model deployment, data residency, and end-customer procurement pathways
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 3+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 3+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
