Role: Programme Operations Senior Associate

Reporting Line: Head Training & Support

Role Purpose

Drive operational excellence, communications, and stakeholder engagement to support Fellow development and student impact across all Fellowship pathways. Support Design and Training team to deliver high quality learning experience for the Fellows and contribute towards building the Teach For Malaysia ecosystem.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics, including vendor management, on-site support, inventory tracking, and contingency planning.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes for knowledge management, logistics tracking, and inventory control.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including MOE officers, school leaders, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage internal communications, including official letters, newsletters and updates, ensuring Fellows and stakeholders receive clear, timely, and relevant information.
  • Contribute to a strong internal learning culture by sharing best practices, supporting interns, and collaborating with peers and junior team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Leadership Development, MEL, and Stakeholder Engagement to gather and analyse training data (e.g. Fellow satisfaction, learning outcomes, and application of content) to inform continuous improvement.
  • Occasionally support training-related requests from other functions, contributing to internal team upskilling or external engagement when capacity allows.
  • Support the planning and coordination of Fellows’ learning experience, including workshops, training sessions, partner engagements as well as digitalisation of Fellowship Curriculum content.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in project and event management, ideally in a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich environment.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal with ability to tailor messages across diverse audiences.
  • Process- and systems-oriented thinker with ability to create structure, optimise tools, and manage complex logistics.
  • Tech-savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with working knowledge of platforms like Zoom, Confluence, Salesforce, MailChimp, and Canva (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience with design and curriculum development, is an added advantage

Experiences & qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in operations, project/event coordination, stakeholder engagement, or communications, is preferred
  • Experience working in education, non-profits, or public sector partnerships is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours including weekends and on-site training over extended periods of time when necessary to support Fellows and programme needs.
