Job Summary
The Kitchen Crew is responsible for supporting the daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking food according to standard recipes, maintaining food quality, and ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment. The role requires teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards to ensure customers receive high-quality meals consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning, and storing food items according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Cook and prepare menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.

Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and within service timelines.

Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
-
Assist in developing daily food preparation plans based on operational needs.
Kitchen Operations
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
-
Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report any maintenance issues promptly.
-
Restock ingredients and supplies during service as required.
-
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries according to food safety requirements.

Support opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Food Safety & Hygiene
-
Comply with all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations.

Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.
-
Maintain personal hygiene and comply with company grooming standards.

Minimize food waste through proper stock rotation (FIFO) and portion control.
Teamwork
-
Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Communicate effectively during peak service periods.

Assist colleagues with kitchen tasks when needed.

Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor, Chef, or Restaurant Manager.
Requirements
-
Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
-
Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, café, or food production environment is an advantage but not mandatory.

Fresh graduates and school leavers are encouraged to apply.

Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene is preferred.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Exposure to heat, sharp utensils, and commercial kitchen equipment while following established safety procedures.
