Role purpose:

To lead a team responsible for network infrastructure and deployment within the Vodafone Global Network in the Asian and Middle East region. Provide a full range of deployment and infrastructure management services to a variety of internal customers. A member of the Vodafone Asia senior leadership team.

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Provide strategic guidance, building and maintaining a site strategy for co-location facilities within Asia and the Middle East
  • Team Leadership, managing people, resource and technology issues relating to network deployment
  • Lead the technical relationship with data-centre/co-location providers
  • Budget responsibility for circa €25m, driving efficiencies and unit cost reductions
  • Responsible for project delivery for technology infrastructure in the global network in Asia and the Middle East. Delivery on time and within budget, while managing risk and maintaining the highest standards


Key performance indicators:

  • Project success: delivery to budget, within target timescale and to specification.
  • Technical relationship management with co-location suppliers (Equinix, Digital realty)
  • Unit cost of co-location/ total co-location space/power


Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Telecoms network delivery and deployment experience (min 5 years).
  • Programme management and co-ordination of resources in large projects
  • People management
  • Ability to understand and act on commercial, legal, regulatory, environmental, tax, importation and financial matters
  • Financial management (budgeting, profit and loss, invoicing)


Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Degree level in engineering or other relevant technical discipline
