Senior Product Engineer

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide support to R&D NPI programs in product and process development.
• Collaborate with R&D team and participate in the design, qualification and implementation of the new processes.
• To provide technical support and data analysis on product related issues and product improvements (Cost, Yield, Scrap and HPU).
• Handles new transceiver product transfer from NPI to mass volume production lifecycle.
• Prepare product engineering documentation and engineering related changes with latest revision change.
• Support pilot manufacturing line in the assembly, testing and evaluation of new products.
• Evaluates product yield, cost, performance and suitability for release into production.
• Develops and maintain a systematic debug guide matrix, system and documentation.
• Acquires hands on technical knowledge on products and test methodology as well as application transferred from R&D.
• Drives effort in product re-engineering, cost reduction, yield improvement, quality and reliability improvement.
• Support and initiates ECO, BOM change, test processes, procedures and specification modifications.
• Provide technical support and analysis on product related issues and RMA.
• Engage customers, sales and marketing with customer qualification cycle.
• Conduct data analysis and statistics pertaining to product performance and quality improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communications, Mechatronics, Mechanical and Applied Science in Physics/Photonics.
• Fresh graduates from reputable institute are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in manufacturing processes for Optical Transceiver and Laser products in NPI and HVM is an added advantage.
• Able to converse in Mandarin is and added advantage.
• Experience working in PCBA, semiconductor devices, IC fabrication manufacturing and product testing environment with minimum 3 years working experience.
• Good knowledge in BOM maintenance, statistical quality tools and problem analysis.
• Understand basic test methodologies and able to interpret/read electrical schematics and mechanical drawing. Strong knowledge and ability to troubleshoot product and test equipment issues and initiatives to drive performance goals.
• Understand how SPC works.
• Basic knowledge in MES.
