Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
All MR. D.I.Y. stores are managed directly and the retailer often works in collaboration with owners of shopfront properties or owners of malls. MR. D.I.Y. stores offer a wide selection of SKUs across five major categories, namely hardware; household and furnishing; electrical; stationery and sports equipment products; and others (comprising toys, car accessories, jewellery, cosmetics, food and beverage items, as well as health and personal care).

- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and maintain management reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Contribute the preparation of presentations and materials for management reviews and discussions.
- Ensure consistency, reliability, and timeliness of all reporting outputs.
- Planning & Financial Analysis
- Support business planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Build and maintain financial models, projections, and business cases to support decision-making.
- Strategy Support
- Assist in strategy development, research, and strategic planning activities.
- Support multi-year business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Project Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional projects, including store openings, product launches, and other business initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information, align priorities and track timelines and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and escalate risks or delays where necessary.
- Provide day-to-day support to the manager and department as required.
- Key Deliverables
- Accurate and timely management reports, dashboards & presentation-ready materials.
- Insightful analysis with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Financial analysis and supporting projections.
- Project plans, trackers, and status updates.
- Performance tracking and KPI reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, strategy, or planning roles (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-site operations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Ability to work with large datasets and complex reports.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and structured in approach.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Comfortable working with data and cross-functional stakeholders.
