Job Description: 11kV B0 Chargeman and Site Lead
Position: 11kV B0 Chargeman and Site Lead
Location: Aero Service Technologies Sdn Bhd, P202, P203 & Part of P204 Pulau Indah 42920 Selangor, Malaysia
Reports to: Account Director
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Lead comprehensive facilities management operations for Aero Service Technologies' 155,000 square foot workshop and office facility while managing a team of technical personnel. This role combines senior electrical expertise with site leadership and team management responsibilities to deliver integrated facilities management services.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System:
Operate, maintain, and supervise the facility's electrical systems as a certified 11kV B0 Chargeman
Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and standards
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment
Lead electrical emergency response and coordinate complex repairs
Maintain electrical system documentation and compliance records
Team Management:Supervise and manage the on-site technical team including:
1 FTE Electrician
2 FTE Mechanical Technicians
Conduct performance evaluations and provide technical mentoring
Coordinate work assignments and ensure proper task allocation
Manage team training, safety compliance, and certification requirements
Oversee vendor and contractor coordination through team members
Site Leadership:
Serve as primary on-site contact for Client Representative
Coordinate all facilities management operations, hard and soft services vendors
Manage HVAC systems, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems
Supervise lifting operations and material handling procedures
Ensure compliance with safety protocols including LOTO procedures
Utilize CMMS systems for work order management and reporting
Operational Management:
Manage tools and equipment inventory including electrical testing equipment, mechanical tools, and safety PPE
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and corrective work orders
Oversee emergency response procedures and critical system restoration
Prepare regular reports on facility operations, team performance, and maintenance activities
Source, coordinate and bring in vendors for recurring or ad hoc works
Work with client and JLL procurement processes
Prepare and present monthly reports
Coordinate and conduct paperwork and related administration with PKFZ management on behalf of client
Required Qualifications
Valid 11kV B0 Chargeman Certificate (Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia)
Minimum 5 years experience in commercial/industrial property
Satisfactory proficiency in spoken and written English
Proven experience managing technical teams in industrial/commercial environments
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
Basi knowledge in MS Office 365 softwares
Experience with CMMS systems and computerized maintenance management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience commercial facility environments
HVAC systems knowledge, fire and mechanical systems understanding
Project management and budget management experience
Team Leadership Responsibilities
Conduct periodic briefings and coordinate work assignments
Monitor team performance and provide technical guidance
Ensure proper use of safety equipment and compliance with protocols
Manage overtime scheduling and resource allocation
Interface with JLL management on team performance and development needs
Handle escalated technical issues and complex problem-solving
Working Conditions
Full-time position based at client facility in Pulau Indah, Selangor
Workshop and office environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols
Management of 3 direct reports with varied technical specializations
Availability for emergency response and after-hours coordination
Regular interaction with client personnel, contractors, authorities and JLL management
