Job description of the Finance Manager
- Lead the month end closing and reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance to accouting standard and company policies and procedure
- Review, analyse variance on monthly, quarterly and yearly management and financial reporting and present the financial results to operation team
- Formulate and review accounting processes/policies throughout the Company to ensure accounting and financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.
- Direct preparation of budgets, review budget proposals and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Provide management with timely reviews of organisation’s financial status and progress in its various activities and programs.
- Responsible for the review and submission of sales and service tax
- Business partnering with business unit to develop annual budgets and forecast
- Ensure implementation of internal control and adherence of operating procedures to achieve compliance of company policies;
- Streamline and recommend improvements to the existing internal controls and accounting practices
- Involve in process improvement and project implementation
- Review and provide recommendation to business unit through financial analysis for decision making in order to maximize productivity/profit/ROI.
- Develop and improve team performance through training, coaching and feedback. Monitoring team performance and development of goals.
Job requirements
- Member of professional body (E.g. MIA, ICA
- CA, MACPA, CPA)
- Minimum 6 years accounting experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Meticulous, highly organized and strong leadership qualities.
- Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
- Experience in audit firm is an advantage.
- Experience in SAP and managing project is an added advantage
