2D Illustrator

Overview:

As a Concept Artist/Illustrator, you will be responsible for creating visual representations of game elements, characters, environments, and other artistic assets. You will work closely with the art director, game designers, 3D artists, animator and other members of the development team to bring the game's vision to life through compelling and visually stunning concepts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to use your skills in drawing, color, composition, and storytelling to create engaging images that enliven product descriptions, technical data, and key brand messages for our customers.
• Collaborate with 3D artists, animators, and designers to ensure that the artistic vision is consistently applied throughout the game development process.
• Ability to push creative projects from concept to final execution.
• Maintaining existing products and providing assets for marketing purposes.
• The ability to calmly problem-solve issues that may arise in an environment which can be pressured.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of style guides to ensure visual consistency across the game.
• Report progress to your manager or the lead artist on a regular basis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to enable you to work to deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
• Stay informed about current artistic trends, gaming industry developments, and relevant cultural influences.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with the desired style.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum qualification of Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Illustrator or Graphic Designer.
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing completed illustrations.
• Proficiency in image editing and digital sketching software such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to blend hand-drawing and digital media for comprehensive illustrations.
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with other artists and team members.
• Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently for extended periods.
• Passion for games and the gaming industry.
