Account Executive

About The Job

As a Account Executive, you will be at the forefront of managing financial activities within our organization. You will be responsible for handling full sets of accounts, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements, and supporting tax and audit requirements. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a consulting environment, liaising with multiple clients, and delivering high-quality financial services. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and cash flow projections in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations (SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.) and liaise with tax agents and auditors.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Timely closing of financial reports/schedules for yearly audit, tax, and relevant authorities
• Provide advisory support to Managements on accounting and financial matters, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the consulting team to improve financial processes and provide value-added insights to clients.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
• 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian taxation requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount, Xero or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client portfolios.
• Good communication and follow-up skills will be advantageous.
• A good team player and is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible, a positive attitude, the ability to work under pressure, and multiple tasks.
