Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Prepare and submit tax filings, including GST/SST, corporate tax, and withholding tax, ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate cash flow management.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other relevant laws.
• Provide support in financial decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
