Job Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure timely submission of tax filings and compliance with local regulations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
A Successful Accounting Manager Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
