Assistant Head of Factory

JOB SUMMARY
As the Assistant Head of Factory, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our F&B production facility. You'll work closely with the Head of Factory to ensure smooth production flow, uphold food safety standards, manage team performance, and drive continuous improvement across all production lines. You’ll be hands-on in making sure our products meet quality expectations and that our team operates efficiently and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Manufacturing Oversight
- Assist in managing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
- Ensure optimal use of resources (manpower, machinery, materials) to meet productivity, efficiency, and quality KPIs
- Resolve production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste
Warehouse Oversight
- Assist in managing and executing daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse plans
- Ensure optimal use of resources (manpower, MHE, and materials) to meet productivity, efficiency, and quality KPIs.
- Resolve warehouse issues and implement corrective actions to minimize inventory variances, space utilization issues, and product OOS
Operational & Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Head of Factory to develop operational strategies to improve performance.
- Monitor operational budgets, cost efficiency, and production targets.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for efficiency gains.
Manpower Management & Development
- Assist in workforce planning, shift scheduling, and attendance monitoring
- Coach, train, and motivate supervisors and production staff to ensure high performance and discipline.
Maintenance Coordination
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure plant availability and minimal downtime
Healthy, Safety Compliance
- Promote workplace safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response planning
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 4 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Minimum Diploma in Food Technology, Production, Quality Control, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes and ERP systems.
- Leadership qualities with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willing to work extended hours or shifts when required.
