Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist & supervise all approved Engineering projects undertaken by Engineering Department.
- Travel to and/or visit project sites to resolve project implementation & site issues as required.
- Monitor, collate & prepare project progress & financial reports at any time requested by Management.
- Prepare tender documentation (BOQ, specifications, datasheets, Conditions of Contract, etc.) & tender evaluation report (Technical & Commercial)
- Participate in any meeting as required by Project Owner(s) to represent Engineering Department.
- Carry out duties relevant to project undertaken including miscellaneous project related report and analysis.
- Project budgeting – preparation of project budget and cash flow
- Tendering Exercise– source, evaluate and recommend supplier/contractor for the project
- Project Scheduling– monitoring project progress to ensure it follows the timeline provided.
- Contract Management – organizing and coordinating manpower requirements for the project, reviewing method statement of construction for the project and manage & control project cost for cost saving.
- Progress Reporting – payment certification and preparation of project progress report.
- Authority Approval – communicating or liaison with consultants, project owner/clients and government authorities for any statutory requirements and approvals.
- To provide engineering/ technical support on major engineering related work involving downstream operations such as constructing new and upgrading of refinery and kernel crushing plant and development of engineering infrastructures and bulking facilities for downstream operating units within SD Guthrie International.
- Implementation of Environmental, Safety & Health (HSE) practices in engineering projects in every project implementation stage from Design, Award, Execution, Commissioning and Handover.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems
- Familiarity with project planning, cost estimation, and risk management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- 8–10 years of experience, especially in M&E construction projects
- Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, and site operations
- Exposure to client liaison, contractor management, and regulatory compliance
- Certifications in these areas is an added advantage: Project Management Professional (PMP), CIDB Green Card, OSHA, ISO standards
