Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
  • Track variances between actual performance and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, GST/VAT, and other statutory returns.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Liaise with auditors during financial audits.
  • Oversee bank reconciliation processes and manage relationships with banks for loans, credit facilities, and other financial matters.
  • Assist senior management with financial data and reports for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field: A foundational requirement to ensure strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
  • Professional certifications (preferred): Qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, or similar are often highly preferred to demonstrate expertise in financial management and compliance.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience: Previous experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple financial tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
