Our client “⁠⁠Versa Manufacturing Sdn Bhd" is seeking a BD Manager/BD Executive to join their company!

What you’ll be doing?

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and geographic markets for business expansion.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, attending conferences, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for market penetration, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures that align with the organization's growth objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, suppliers, and industry influencers.
  • Identify and engage with decision-makers to understand their needs and present solutions that align with the organization's offerings.
  • Negotiate and finalize business agreements, contracts, and pricing terms to secure profitable partnerships.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Support the sales team by providing market insights, competitive analysis, and sales collateral to facilitate the sales process.
  • Participate in sales presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for product or service improvement
  • Conduct financial analysis, including revenue forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI calculations, to assess the viability of business opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on business development activities, progress, and results for management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Share market insights, industry knowledge, and best practices with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Who are they looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Min five (5) years’ Account Management / Business Development in the local / international market.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for business meetings and industry events.
