BO Chargeman (Engineer/Senior Engineer)

Job Description:

1. Maintaining the building's electrical supply and reticulation system, installations, and equipment.
2. Day to day operations and maintenance of the entire facility, electrical installation and monitoring on high voltage facility equipment's performance.
3. Responsible for the smooth day to day operations of all facilities and supporting system like machines and equipment, electricity, HVAC, compressed air, gases.
4. To perform and execute all safety precautions and preventive maintenance of all electrical installations for LV distributions and 11kV system.
5. To investigate and troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment and control system.
6. To perform failure root cause analysis as to troubleshoot and avoiding repeating event again.
7. To lead day-to-day plant maintenance of machinery, equipment, facilities, etc in achieving production reliability.
8. To determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity, and skills of personnel.
9. To oversee the completion and reporting of maintenance work done by subordinates. Monitor and coordinate maintenance and repairs work in the company’s premise.
10. To oversee on all electrical maintenance activity at site. Direct involved in supervising critical electrical machinery maintenance.
11. To set up comprehensive maintenance program to ensure execution and use as a tool to monitor and maintain the maintenance program.
12. To work out the method statement of electrical maintenance work especially on critical and major maintenance work, as templates for reference.
13. To execute and ensure the requirements of quality and operations are met and to implement a total preventive maintenance system.
14. To improve maintenance personnel skills at high level of safety, competency, quality, and reliability.
15. To execute on job training for chargeman on multiple maintenance skills and knowledge.
16. To conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair and maintenance skills and knowledge.
17. To develop cost reduction programs especially in electricity usage for the plant maintenance.
18. To prepare and review or update standard operating procedure relating to plant engineering.
19. To responsible for any repair works of building and facilities.
20. To lead or participate lean manufacturing implementation and drive for continuous improvement.
21. To participate in company activities pertaining to training, employee activity, firefighting, safety and health.
22. To undertake job related tasks as assigned by superior/ the management.

Qualification & Experience:

1. Registered and licensed competent BO Chargeman with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) Malaysia.
2. Bachelor Degree in engineering with minimum 3 years of related working experience in manufacturing industry, or diploma in engineering with minimum 5 years of related working experience.
3. Competent person related to workplace safety such as confined space, working at height, etc will be an added advantage.
4. Well-versed with manufacturing plant related safety requirements and its compliances.
5. Possess basic mechanical engineering knowledge.
6. Able to communicate in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
7. Strong knowledge in MS Office, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
8. Good interpersonal, coordination and communication skills.
9. Energetic, independent and good in time management.
10. Good presentation skills.
