Job Responsibility

  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions, including sales, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring adequate supplies of bags, receipts, and other necessary materials.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as stocking shelves, monitoring product levels, and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Actively promote and upsell products to customers, highlighting special offers and providing recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, security protocols, and loss prevention measures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the store by performing tasks such as cleaning, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring a tidy environment.

Job Requirements

  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by regularly counting stock and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Promote sales by informing customers about current promotions, upselling products, and providing recommendations based on their needs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including restocking merchandise and supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and cash handling protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to ensure clear understanding and a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail when processing transactions, verifying identification, and handling sensitive information.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor, such as stocking shelves, cleaning the store, and assisting with deliveries.
